IGOTF and Beyond

AltLaw recently attended the inaugural "non-conference" of the Independent Government Observers Task Force, or IGOTF. There we met with other academic groups, non-profit organizations, and for-profit companies all working to make better legal research tools available on the Internet.
The strongest agreement at the meeting was a mutual desire to do a better job of sharing information. Watch for announcements in the coming months -- both here and on the IGOTF mailing list -- of new collections being made available.
